Man arrested after high speed chase near Black River Falls
Police discover children in vehicle
BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. (WKBT) — Raleigh J. Decorah, age 36, is arrested after a high speed chase near Black River Falls.
The chase started after a Jackson County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop Decorah for a suspended traffic violation in the city of Black River Falls. Decorah ran from his vehicle into a residential area. He returned to his vehicle and took off.
The Black River Falls Police Department assisted with the high speed chase that followed Decorah through several roads in the Town of Brockway and ending in the Town of Komensky. Decorah once again ran from his vehicle before the arresting officer caught him.
Once in custody, police learned there were two adult females and two minor children inside the vehicle during the high speed chase.
Decorah faces charges of Felony Fleeing an Officer, Reckless Endangering Safety, and Obstructing/Resisting Arrest. Decorah was also arrested on two Jackson County warrants and one La Crosse County warrant. Decorah was wanted by police since May of 2014.
