Man arrested after high speed chase through La Crosse & Onalaska

Police arrested a man after a high speed chase through La Crosse and Onalaska Friday night.

Police say the chase started on the south side of La Crosse when officers tried to pull over Kou Vue.  He was wanted for a felony warrant.

Police say speeds topped out at 90 miles per hour as Vue drove down major streets, including Losey Blvd. and West Ave in La Crosse, and Highway 35 in Onalaska.

Police used spike strips along Highway 35.  Vue’s car hit the strips and spun out of control near the intersection of Locust St. and Hwy. 35 in Onalaska before striking a curb and then hitting a fire hydrant.

According to police, Vue then ran from the scene, but was caught a short distance away by officers and a K-9 unit.

No one was injured.
