Man calls 911 to ask if he has active warrants
A Louisiana man was arrested for misusing 911 after he called to ask operators if he had any active warrants out for his arrest, reports WGNO.
Christian Palacios, 24, called the emergency system Monday just after 10 p.m. Officers who responded to his call asked Palacios if he was aware of the proper usage of the 911 system, and if he knew the difference between emergency and non-emergency calls.
Officers handed Palacios a misdemeanor summons for unlawful use of the 911 system. Palacios faces up to a $500 fine and as much as 30 days in jail.
