Man found dead in water in Wabasha County
WABASHA, Minn. (WKBT) — An 89-year-old man was found dead near an unoccupied fishing boat in the water in Wabasha County, according to authorities.
At about 7:30 p.m. Monday, the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to an unoccupied fishing boat with its motor running that was driving in circles off the main channel inside the weaver bottoms.
The man was found in the water near the boat. The identity of the man was not released.
The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office, Winona County Sheriff’s Office, Winona Dive & Rescue, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and Kellogg and Wabasha Fire departments assisted in locating the man.
