Man killed when camper catches fire on I-94

HUDSON, Wis. (AP) — One person has died in a camper fire on the interstate in western Wisconsin.

The State Patrol says 22-year-old Eric Ludwig of Stratford was sleeping in the camper that was being pulled by a pickup truck early Thursday when it became engulfed in flames. Ludwig was rushed to Regions Hospital in the Twin Cities where he was pronounced dead.

WEAU-TV says the camper caught fire on Interstate 94 in St. Croix County about 1:30 a.m.
