Man shot and wounded by Pipestone Co. deputy
PIPESTONE, Minn. (AP) — The Pipestone County sheriff says a deputy shot and wounded a man during a confrontation at a residence in Pipestone.
Sheriff Dan Delaney said Thursday the deputy responded to a domestic disturbance call Wednesday about 7 p.m. Delaney says the deputy became involved in a confrontation with the man and shot him. The sheriff declined to say whether the man had a weapon.
Delaney says the man was taken to Pipestone County Medical Center, then airlifted to a hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the shooting.
