Man tries to pay for meal with his server’s stolen credit card

A server in Arkansas was forced to call authorities on a customer after he tried to pay for his meal with her stolen credit card.

The Associated Press reports Shamon West, 21, dined at Shannon Restaurant in Pine Bluff Tuesday and handed his server, Flora Lunsford, her own card as he tried to pay. Police spokesman David De Foor said that “having no desire to pay for the fellow’s meal,” Lunsford reported the man.

When officers responded, they also found several other items on West that had been in Lunsford’s purse when it was stolen. Some items that were recovered included her Social Security card and driver’s license.

West is being held on forgery and theft by receiving charges.
