Mandela Barnes speaks out against Ron Johnson’s views on abortion
WISCONSIN (WKBT) — Following his debate with his opponent Republican Ron Johnson, U.S. Senate candidate Mandela Barnes is speaking out against Johnson’s views on abortion.
During his ‘Ron Against Roe’ tour, Barnes told Wisconsin voters Senator Johnson has a history of not supporting a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions and politicizing abortion.
“The fact is, half of the people in this state lost a constitutional right,” said Barnes. “That’s what is at hand right now. We’re talking about rights, we’re talking about freedom that needs to be protected. The rights of freedom that Ron Johnson is all too happy to strip away from people.”
According to the Associated Press, majority of democrats’ ad spending this election season–which totals more than $124 million–has focused on abortion rights.
