March for Science runs through La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Saturday was the 47th Earth Day and many people in the community used the day to speak out against what they believe to be negative political attacks against the field of science.
Area activists voiced their opinions through a March for Science in response to a much larger march taking place in Washington, D.C., this weekend.
La Crosse was one of 600 cities around the world taking part in the movement.
Organizers say the march is a way to show how important science is in everyday life and that it should be protected,
