Margaret Tjepkes

Margaret Tjepkes, 86, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2022, at Stewartville Senior Care Center after a short stay. Margaret Hogenson was born February 9, 1936, in Minneapolis, MN.
She grew up in Rochester and graduated from Rochester High School in 1954. She worked for the Rochester Parks Dept., several insurance and law firms before joining IBM as a word processor in Manufacturing, eventually transferring to the IBM NASA office in Houston, TX. She retired in 1994 and returned to Stewartville, MN, and worked for the Chamber of Commerce for several years.
She is survived by her son, Keith Tjepkes; two grandsons, Bill (Maelene) Tjepkes of Eyota, and Jon Tjepkes of LeRoy, and eight great-grandchildren. Also, a great-great grandchild born a week before her passing. She is also survived by her sister Alice (Tom) Ellis of St. Paul and her brother George (Kate) Hogenson of Oak Park, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Jeanette Hogenson, and her son Eric Tjepkes.
A private memorial service will be held later.
Memorials are suggested to East Saint Olaf Church in Rock Dell, MN, for maintenance of Zion Cemetery.
