LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – A local bank in our area is working to better help those who suffer from various forms of trauma in the community.
Marine Credit Union is taking action by partnering with Resilient Wisconsin.
Resilient Wisconsin is a state-wide initiative, bringing together the latest evidence-based tools and trauma-informed practices.
Marine Credit Union and Resilient Wisconsin formed an internal team to provide training to properly respond to community members with adverse childhood experiences.
Knowing how to communicate with people in the community with trauma is important to all industries.
“Really it’s not just a call for financials, it’s not just a call for manufacturing, name your for-profit industry. Here’s an opportunity for every industry to get involved because it’s what is right to support the people,” said Caitlin Wilson, the Director of Corporate Communication for Marine Credit Union.
Resilient Wisconsin and Marine Credit Union have been working together since November of last year.
