Marjorie Grace (Marshall) Davison

Marjorie Davison, 95, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021, at Alden Estates Nursing Home in Jefferson, Wisconsin, where she resided since June 2012.

She was born in the Township of Forest, Wis., on June 11, 1926, to Hallie and Sylvia (Baldwin) Marshall.

A long-time resident of La Crosse, Marjorie retired from the La Crosse Tribune in 1991 after 22 years in the accounting department. Her Christian faith was important to her since a child in the United Brethren Church and then as a long-time member of the Methodist Church. Marjorie treasured time spent with her family and her church family, many of whom she gifted with her counted cross-stitch works of art.

She is survived by her children, Dennis Davison of Fall River, WI, and Mark Davison of Hillsboro, WI. She is further survived by granddaughters Corina (Erik) Anderson, La Rue Davison, and Katrina Davison; grandsons Matthew (B.J.) Davison, Keith (Jacqui) Davison, and Anthony Meyer; 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her daughters Ann Davison and Laurie (Davison) Sacho, her grandson James Meyer, her brothers Lee Marshall and James Marshall, and aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 22, 2021, at 11am at Burr Wesleyan Church, S1728 County Highway V, Hillsboro, at the intersection of Highways V and 33.

Interment will be in the adjacent Forest-Burr Cemetery.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. on Friday at the church until the time of the service.

In light of COVID-19 concerns, the family requests that face masks be worn for indoor portions of the service.
