Mary Ellen Leith

Mary Ellen Leith, 75 of Onalaska, WI., passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Gundersen Health System, surrounded in love by her family.
She started her journey in life born to Robert L. Thorson and Lorraine C Kabat on August 11, 1946. On June 8, 1963 Mary and Stephen C. Leith were united in marriage. Over the years they had three children; Tamara Ann (Ted), Robert Thomas (Wendy) and Stephanie Kay.
Mary was adored by six grand children; Marissa, Austin, Brilahn, Kindred, Garson and Deven, two great grand babies; Laelahnie and Taevyon and blessed by a special bond with her sister Jean Thorson-Clark and the love of her nieces and nephews.
Mary was employed with Super 8 of La Crosse from the time they opened until her health took a toll. It was there she was recognized as National Employee of the year in 1990.
Mary enjoyed thrifting, gardening, birds and occasional trips to the casino. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
We want to thank everyone who has taken care of her in any way throughout the years and a special thank you to the staff at Gundersen Health System who were all so passionate in their care of her until her passing. God bless you all.
The family would like to invite you to come share all the love, stories, laughter and tears on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. until 12 noon at the Onalaska American Legion Post; 731 Sand Lake Rd. Onalaska WI. 54650. A memorial service will follow at noon and you are invited to stay for a luncheon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be donated to the American Kidney Fund.
