Mayo Clinic Health System donates $10,000 to Catholic Charites Afghan support effort
The money will support refugees' immediate needs.
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – $10,000 will help La Crosse’s Catholic Charities support Afghans at Fort McCoy.
Mayo Clinic Health System presented the donation to the organization Wednesday.
The money will support refugees’ immediate needs.
“We want to be sure that the people who are there are healthy and those needs are met. But there are other needs beyond health care that are important, clothing, food,” said Mayo Clinic Health System southwest Wisconsin regional vice president Paul Mueller.
Catholic Charities is still taking donations.
