McDonald has interim tag removed, named Central principal
The interim principal at La Crosse’s Central High School is having the “interim” tag removed from his title.
The Board of Education appointed Troy McDonald as Central’s principal during their meeting Monday night.
“During the course of my tenure here in the School District of La Crosse, I have come to know Mr. McDonald as a solid principal, one who is revered by staff, students, and parents alike. He provides strong, fair leadership, and he works to improve results by building positive relationships with stakeholders,” superintendent Randy Nelson said in an e-mail to Central parents.
McDonald had been serving as interim principal this year after former principal Jeff Fleig resigned to take another job last August.
