Mel-Min, Aquinas off to state after winning sectional finals

COLFAX, Wis. (WKBT)– A 23-3 lead is how the Mustangs started their dominant showing in sectional finals, beating Unity 82-40.

Mesa Byom scored 21 on the night, and that lead all in scoring.

Seeding for the tournament will take place tomorrow, as Mel-Min joins Aquinas, Crandon and Mishicot in the D4 pool.

BARABOO, Wis. (WKBT)–Lexi Donarski opened the contest with Cambridge with a 13-0 run, as the Blugolds head to state once more with a 73-34 victory.

“They’re really driven kids and they understand that we get everyone’s best shot and have for four straight years so it prepares them for these kinds of moments. I’m happy with their maturity and it’s a senior dominate class that can lift the other ones when they need it and ideally we’ll be ready when it comes Thursday next week,” said Coach Dave Donarski.

They are joined with Crandon, Mishicot and Melrose-Mindoro in the  D4 pool.
