Mercury Marine plant temporarily evacuated

FOND DU LAC, WI (AP) — Production at the Mercury Marine plant in Fond du Lac was interrupted because of a large gas spill

Fire officials say employees were evacuated Monday night when about 50 gallons of gas spilled into a large tunnel. Firefighters were concerned the gas vapors could ignite.

A remediation company cleaned up the spill and the plant was ventilated. No one was injured.
