Mexican illegal found in Trempealeau County sentenced to prison
MADISON, Wis. — A Mexican man will spend time in federal prison for illegally re-entering the United States and living in Trempealeau County.
Pedro Reyes-Perez, 30, pleaded guilty in May. He was sentenced Monday to more than a year-and-a-half in prison by a federal judge in Madison.
Reyes-Perez was first removed from the United States in July 2002. After a March 2009 conviction in Trempealeau County on operating while intoxicated (5th offense), Reyes-Perez was sent back to Mexico again.
Reyes-Perez returned to the U.S. again and was convicted on another Trempealeau County OWI charge in July 2011.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement handled Reyes-Perez’ investigation.
