Miken Sports to close Caledonia facility by mid-2023
Manufacturing set to be moved overseas.
CALEDONIA, Minn. (WKBT) – An assistant to Caledonia’s city administrator tells News 8 Now the Miken Sports facility will close in the next 18 to 24 months.
Manufacturing will move overseas.
The company was founded in 1997.
In 2004, Rawlings Sporting Goods became Miken’s parent company.
Miken Sports has 70 permanent employees.
Two Minnesota lawmakers wrote a letter to the company asking them to reconsider.
Miken Sports did not respond to News 8 Now’s request for comment.
