Chance Of Thunderstorms Late Friday Night

Tonight’s Forecast Low: 68F / Friday’s Forecast High: 91F…

Tonight will be mild and fairly muggy, with lows mainly in the 60s. There could be some upper 50s in traditional cooler parts of Jackson, Monroe and Clark counties. Skies will be mainly clear overnight, but watch out for some areas of fog late tonight into early Friday morning… especially in the river valleys.

2020 Evening 8 To 8

Thursday Night Forecast

Tomorrow will be very similar to today, with very warm highs ranging from the mid 80s to low 90s. Rather humid Friday as well, making it feel a few degrees hotter. The daytime hours will be dry, but then a cool front will bring a chance of showers and t-storms overnight… generally in the 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. time frame.

The line of storms could be strong to severe as it tracks east across Minnesota, but the storms should be in a weakening mode as they track into our area… and especially as the storms move east into Wisconsin. However, some of the storms could still produce gusty winds, brief heavy rain and perhaps some small hail in parts of our area. It looks like the line of storms could impact the La Crosse area from about 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. or so.

The good news is the storms should dissipate or move out of the area early Saturday morning… so the bulk of the day will be dry. Temps will be a bit cooler with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. Plus, humidity will be lower as well. Sunday is also looking dry with pleasant highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. A disturbance will bring a slight chance of showers and t-storms Sunday night… with isolated t-showers possible on Monday. It looks warmer Monday with highs well into the 80s.

8 Day Build 3

Looking Ahead… More humid with a chance of showers and t-storms on Tuesday, then isolated to slight chances for showers and t-storms Wednesday through Friday. Of course, there will be plenty of dry hours each day as well. Expect seasonably warm highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s… with overnight lows in the upper 50s to mid 60s.

Have a great Thursday night! -Bill Graul
