Mild & Muggy Tonight, Slight Chance Of T-Storms -Bill Graul
Slight Chance Of Storms Again Wednesday
Tonight’s Forecast Low: 72F / Wednesday’s Forecast High: 87F…
Southern portions of the viewing area saw strong to severe storms race across the area this afternoon and early evening. The rest of the viewing area stayed mainly dry today, but wow was it steamy with super high humidity. The heat index climbed up around 100F for a time in the La Crosse area, with tropical dew points in the upper 70s to low 80s for some.
Still a slight chance for a few showers and storms this evening through about midnight, but much of the area will likely remain dry. Otherwise, it will be mild and muggy tonight with lows in the mid 60s to low 70s.
Still quite warm and humid Wednesday with highs well into the 80s. A cool front will then track southeast across the region and could spark some scattered showers and t-storms by midday and into the afternoon hours. Each location will only have about a 2-3 hour window for showers and storms. There’s an outside chance for a few strong to severe storms, with the greater threat south/east of La Crosse. Any stronger storm could produce gusty winds and hail. Stay tuned for updates!
Looking Ahead… The high humidity will finally break on Thursday, but still seasonably warm with highs in the low-mid 80s. Couple of really nice days Friday and Saturday, with highs in the upper 70s to around 80F and comfortable humidity levels. I added a very small chance for a shower on Sunday, but many areas will likely remain dry.
Seasonably warm next Monday through Wednesday, with highs in the low-mid 80s. Humidity will creep back up again as well. Monday and Tuesday look dry at this point, with just isolated t-showers possible Wednesday.
Have a good night! -Bill Graul
