Minnesota governor candidate Paul Gazelka stops in Winona
Gazelka was Minnesota Senate majority leader until September
WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) – A candidate hoping to become Minnesota’s next governor is laying out his vision during a stop in our area.
State Sen. Paul Gazelka stopped in Winona Monday as he toured the state.
Republican Gazelka was Minnesota Senate majority leader until September, when he launched his gubernatorial campaign.
He addressed what he considered the biggest concern in the state.
“The number one issue is public safety, making sure that the police have the tools that they need to keep our streets safe, which keeps us safe and that’s not been happening,” Gazelka said.
Minnesota’s current Governor, Democrat Tim Walz has not announced if he will seek re-election.
