Minnesota man charged in Walmart groping case
ANOKA, Minn. (AP) — A Columbia Heights man is charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct for allegedly groping a young girl at a Fridley Walmart.
Anoka County prosecutors say 29-year-old Nathan William Charles Jones appeared in court Tuesday following his arrest last Friday.
Jones is accused of touching the buttocks of an 11-year-old girl. The incident happened Dec. 26 and was captured on Walmart store surveillance video. Police received several tips about Jones’ identity after the media displayed the surveillance video.
Unconditional bail for Jones is set at $175,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 1.
Jones remains in the Anoka County Jail.
