Missing couple found in Dane County
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A state-wide Silver Alert for a missing Dane County couple has been canceled.
87-year old Donald Soper and his wife, 87-year old Colleen Soper, went missing on Thanksgiving.
They were last seen leaving a family gathering in the Town of Black Earth in a Dodge Caliber.
Authorities were concerned because Donald had diabetes, and Colleen has dementia.
Their car was discovered on a remote trail in the Town of Vermont, according to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.
Donald was found dead.
Colleen was transported to Meriter Hospital in critical condition.
Authorities are investigating, but the Sheriff’s Department says the circumstances do not appear to be suspicious.
