Missing Monroe Co. teen found safe
TOMAH, WI — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department says a 17-year-old who was reported missing was found safe early Monday morning.
Authorities say Amanda Godfrey, of rural Tomah, was found in the City of Tomah at a trailer park at 12:47 a.m.
One of Godfrey’s parents reported her missing and at the time of the report, there was a health concern for Godfrey.
After being found, she was taken to the hospital by family members for medical issues. The sheriff’s department says she is okay and is with family.
Investigators say Godfrey left her residence voluntarily and was not forced.
Assisting the sheriff’s department in the search were the Tomah Police and Fire Departments, the Oakdale Fire Department, the Juneau County Sheriff’s Department (K-9 blood hound), Oakdale First Responder’s, and the Wisconsin State Patrol.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s department is asking for the public’s help to find a missing 17-year-old girl.
The sheriff’s department says 17-year-old Amanda Godfrey was last seen at about 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at her home on the east side of Tomah.
She is approximately 5′ 3″ tall and weighs 115 lbs.
She has brown shoulder length hair and wears glasses.
The sheriff’s department says she has a history of seizures and does have diminished mental capacity because of a past head injury.
