Mobile MRI makes its way to Prairie du Chien
PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. (WKBT) — Health care is hitting the streets.
Mobile MRI services are now available at Mayo Clinic Health System in Prairie du Chien.
The unit has one MRI machine that scans faster and produces high-quality images.
Health professionals say the new machine will improve the patient experience by bringing health care to the neighborhood.
“It feels really good to save them the time and stress of having a drive to La Crosse when they can receive the same care here in Prairie,” said General Radiologist at Mayo Clinic Health System Ted Hanson.
MRIs help diagnose patients and evaluate ongoing conditions like tumors, heart disease, and arthritis.
The unit is available to patients every Wednesday.
