UPDATE: Mondovi man sought in domestic abuse case turns himself in
Initial report indicates firearm discharged

ALMA, Wis. (WKBT) – The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office and several other law enforcement agencies were searching for a man allegedly involved in a domestic abuse incident in which a firearm was discharged Monday morning.
The incident along State Hwy. 88 in the town of Lincoln took place about 9:45 a.m., according to the Buffalo sheriff’s office. When deputies tried to make contact with the suspect, 41-year-old Brock Schultz of Mondovi, he fled into a wooded area, and deputies were unable to find him.
Authorities had numerous communications with Schultz Tuesday morning, March 10. The suspect turned himself in around noon without incident, according to the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office requested help in the search from Eau Claire Regional SWAT, the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol. There was no danger to the public, the sheriff’s office said.
The initial report indicated that a gun was discharged during the dispute, although the sheriff’s office released no other information on that aspect.
