More sleep helps your heart

Wisconsin (WKBT)-Getting a good night’s sleep is important to everyone’s overall health.   

However, recent studies indicate that people only sleep for about 6.8 hours per night. While middle-aged, 40–50 years old, –sleep the least. 

Some effects are visible like weight gain and some not as noticeable. Such as heart and blood vessel complications.  

“Sleep apnea has been well-documented to cause sleep deprivation, and it can contribute to increased risk of arrhythmias. It can also contribute to increased blood pressure or even risk of stroke in the long term.”
