More than 1,000 apply for Generac jobs

WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) — More than a thousand people showed up at a Waukesha generator manufacturer, hoping to land one of several hundred jobs it plans to fill in the next few months.

For some who have been out of work for a long time, an hour wait for an interview Wednesday night was well worth it. Susann Stadler hasn’t had a job in about seven months. Stadler was in sales, but says she is willing to do anything from production to office work.

Generac human resources executive Rhonda Matschke tells WTMJ-TV the company has positions from entry level manufacturing to office work and management.
