More than 1,500 meals served at Onalaska & Holmen Community Thanksgiving Dinner

A Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings brought together community members in Onalaska.

The 9th annual Onalaska and Holmen’s Community Thanksgiving Dinner was held at Onalaska’s National Guard Armory.

This is the first year that the Holmen Area Rotary Club joined with Onalaska’s two Rotary clubs to put on the event.

The meal, provided at no charge, was available at the Armory or by delivery to those who could not attend.

The day is a great way for people to do more than just eat a meal.

“This is actually a fantastic opportunity to help people come together as a community and get to know each other,” said Onalaska and Holmen Community Thanksgiving Dinner committee member Jean Lunde.

Organizers were hoping to serve more than 1,500 meals.
