UPDATE: Power restored to 9,300 La Crosse Xcel customers Wednesday morning
UPDATE — LA CROSSE – (WKBT) – A major power outage in La Crosse affected roughly 9,300 La Crosse customers Wednesday morning, according to Xcel Energy.
An Xcel Energy spokesman said they restored power at about 7:15 a.m. Wednesday. Animal contact caused the three-hour outage with damage to key equipment with the company’s La Crosse substation.
The outage affected several traffic lights and even the jail.
