MOSES conference continues to have impact on La Crosse community during food drive

Bags of food donations are available at People's Food Co-Op

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The MOSES organic farming conference is continuing to have an impact on the community.

The event is a partnership with People’s Food Co-Op in La Crosse and Rochester for ‘Buy a Bag’ special.

For $10, shoppers can pick up a bag of groceries, to be given to a local food pantry.

Leaders of MOSES say they wanted to help the community in a way that they are familiar with.

“Food is such a huge part of who we are as people. And it’s certainly a huge part of who we are as farmers. And I just, I don’t want any of us to lose sight of the fact that everything we do is ultimately about feeding people,” said MOSES partnership director Tom Manley.

The drive continues through the end of Feburary at People Food Co-Op.
