Mostly Sunny & Pleasant Today
RIVER FLOOD WARNING until further notice for the lower Kickapoo River. Minor to moderate flooding expected.
High pressure will bring a sunny and seasonable first day of astronomical autumn. Look for highs in the lower to middle 70s.
We’ll see a clear and cool night tonight as lows drop into the upper 40s to middle 50s.
As we head into tomorrow, look for more sunshine and highs in the 75F to 80F range. A cool front will approach the area tomorrow night and produce a chance of showers and t-storms. Some of these storms could be strong to severe. The main threats would be large hail, damaging wind and isolated tornadoes. As a result, I am calling tomorrow night an ALERT DAY. You will want to pay close attention to the weather tomorrow night.
Looking Ahead… look for a partly sunny and cooler day Wednesday as highs slip back into the middle 60s to near 70F. Thursday looks dry and cool with highs near 70F.
Another frontal system will track across the region Friday, Friday night into Saturday morning. The result will be a chance at more showers and t-storms. Temperatures will warm up ahead of the front… topping out in the middle 70s.
Temperatures will warm even more Sunday, Monday and Tuesday… topping out in the upper 70s to lower 80s. More showers and t-storms are expected next Monday and Tuesday.
Have a great day! -Cory Malles
