Motorcyclist injured after crashing into deer
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — A Milton man was injured Monday after colliding with a deer while riding his motorcycle, according to authorities.
The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched at about 8:53 p.m. to the intersection of Highways 37 and 88 in the town of Mondovi. Emergency responders found David Gene Warn III, 28, injured in the road and his 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle laying on its side in the middle of the highway.
Investigators say he was riding north on Highway 37 when a deer ran into the road and he hit the deer. Warn injured his head and was taken to an Eau Claire hospital by Mondovi Ambulance.
The Mondovi Police Department, Mondovi Fire Department and Dover First Responders also assisted at the scene.
