Much Quieter Weather on the Way

Strong low pressure continues to pull away from the area. As a result, look for light snow to quickly end this evening. Skies will become partly cloudy late. It will be a bit colder tonight as lows drop into the single digits to lower teens in the north and the middle teens to near 20F in the south. A north wind at 5-15 mph will make it feel a bit colder. Be alert for icy spots and stretches on area roads tonight.

Some much-needed sunshine is in store for the area Monday. Look for highs in the lower to middle 30s.

Looking Ahead… A dry and calmer stretch of weather looks to be on tap for next week. As of now, it’s looking mainly dry Tuesday through Saturday of next week.

Expect highs next week mainly in the 30s and lows in the 20s with a mix of sun and clouds. A disturbance could bring some light rain and snow showers Saturday night into Sunday of next weekend.
