Name your adoption fee at Humane Society this weekend

ONALASKA, Wis.–  If you’re hoping to add a pet to your family, now might be a good time.  This weekend, the Coulee Region Humane Society is holding a special ‘name your adoption fee’ promotion hoping to increase cat adoptions.

You come in, meet the cats and fill out an application.  They’ll process adoption requests on Monday and from there you decide what you’ll pay for an adoption fee.

The humane society is taking in two cats for every one dog this year so there are many cats to choose from.  “We’ve got kittens, we’ve got young adults, we’ve got middle-aged, we’ve got a little bit older.  We have black, we have multi-colored.  There’s every type of cat that you can really think of right here.  We have over 60 up for adoption right now,” says CRHS Executive Director Heather Schmid.

The ‘Name Your Price Adoption Fee’ special continues through the weekend at the Coulee Region Humane Society in Onalaska.  You can visit between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.  For more information, check them out online at
