National power ranking says Rep. Kind’s seat most likely to flip
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District race is the district most likely to flip in the entire country, according to a national power ranking by the National Journal.
The report says that Derrick Van Orden, who’s currently running unopposed in the Republican primary, has a leg up on the Democratic candidates who are racing to win their own primary.
Rep. Ron Kind is not running for re-election. He narrowly defeated Van Orden in the 2020 election and has since endorsed Democratic candidate Brad Pfaff.
Deb McGrath, Rebecca Cooke, and Mark Neumann are also on the ballot in the Democratic primary election set for Aug. 9.
