National relay makes its way through Wisconsin
ARCADIA, Wis. (WKBT) – Carry the Load is a nonprofit organization that intends to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day.
Saturday, they were in Arcadia for part of their 15,000-mile national relay.
The relay gives former military and first responders a chance to share memories and honor those who have fallen.
“It provides a chance for us to walk with others and share stories and hear stories. It’s just a really cool opportunity for those who have serves or have loved ones who have served just share their memories,” said relay director Matt Fryman.
This year they are covering all 50 states to honor and remember those who laid their lives down for freedom.
