National Salvation Army Week highlights work of the organization

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT)- Many people are familiar with the Salvation Army’s efforts to shelter the homeless, but do you know what else the organization does?

This is National Salvation Army Week, a time to learn about the services it provides to the community.

Each day this week, the organization will be showcasing on its social media pages some of the many things they do to help people who are struggling.

“We do everything we do for others. Just gives us an opportunity to tell others in the community who have the means, how to support us who support those who don’t have the means,” said Major Jeff Richardson.

Tuesday, the organization is highlighting its Emergency Shelter and Meal Program. You can check it out by tuning into its Facebook live video which will start around 11 in the morning.
