Nearly $64,000 donated to Great Rivers United Way
The donation comes from Altra Federal Credit Union
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Nearly $64,000 will help the Great Rivers United Way.
The donation was made this morning from Altra Federal Credit Union.
The donation is a combination of more than $51,000 of giving from employees and members and $12,000 raised during a virtual fundraiser.
It comes during a campaign for the organization as they work to help others.
“We responded very quickly to the original pandemic needs. Now we’re trying to help our non-profits recover with this campaign, and Altra is setting the stage for that,” said Great Rivers United Way executive director Mary Kay Wolf.
The total is a 9.5 percent increase over last year’s donation.
