New Hmong Library and Culture Center opens in La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. — There is a new resource in La Crosse for those wanting to learn more about Hmong culture.

The ‘Skogen’s Festival Foods Library and Culture Center’ opened Thursday.  The library houses books on Hmong history, art, philosophy and language.  It’s all available for anyone in our community to check-out.

The new library is in the Hmong Cultural and Community Center building and was always part of the vision for the facility.

“We’re really excited.  We hope to just, make it bigger and we’re just really excited that it’s open.  We invite the whole community to come out and check-out books,” says the Executive Director of the Hmong Mutual Assistance Association Xong Xiong.

The library also has videos and DVD’s.
