New News8000 responsive website, app launches Tuesday

News8000 was launched onto a new platform and with a new app on Tuesday, making the site more accessible for mobile users and positioning itself for future development.

What users are seeing on Tuesday is phase one of a two phase upgrade for News8000. The website was migrated to a new platform. What that means for users is that the website is now mobile responsive, meaning that the same website can be viewed on a desktop or mobile device. It will also load faster.

Users will notice some visual changes to the site, but our aim was to keep the design similar to what users are familiar with.

News8000 also launched a new iOS and Android app on the new platform. The new app features an improved design and easy navigation to much of the same content you’ll find on the website. Users can subscribe to numerous alert services. An improved menu on the home screen will help you find what you’re looking for more quickly. Users should update their app on their devices to utilize the upgraded version. New News8000 responsive website, app launches Tuesday

The News8000 email newsletters have also migrated to a new service. Users who are already subscribed will continue getting the same newsletters that have been upgraded with a new design. You can sign up to get newsletters here.

These new platforms put News8000 in a position to make further improvements in the near future. We’re working on the next phase of development. Watch for new features in 2017!
