New printing press for driftless artists
New company helps artists in the area publish their work

LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – Two friends came up with a business idea to help people, now that idea turned into a brand new company.
Viroqua’s Eddy Nix and Winona’s Parker Forsell wanted to get one local poet to print and soon realized there was a group of midwest artists who could benefit from a small local press.
They want to help publish the work of musicians who have been working on other projects during the pandemic as well as spread the work of local poets.
“Poets have a hard time getting published, and I think it’s because it’s not meant to be a big seller, and Eddy and I feel like that’s unique,” said Parker Forsell, co-founder of Ramshackle Press.
Peter Engen’s new book of poetry can be found on their website.
