In the WIAA boys Division 2 basketball regional semifinals, Central basketball defeated Menomonie at home 65-35.

Terrance Thompson had 20 points, Johnny Davis scored 16 (he did not play in the second half), and Jordan added 14. Central will host New Richmond Saturday night.

Elsewhere in the bracket, four seed Tomah fell at home to five seed River Falls 66-54.
