The Dairyland Conference kicked off its football season Friday night with three matchups.

Defending conference champion Blair-Taylor picked up from where they left off in 2019, beating Whitehall on the road 18-14.

Pepin-Alma, with its entire 2019 backfield returning, used their run attack to beat Melrose-Mindoro 21-0. Lane Wieczorek scored all three rushing touchdowns for the Eagles.

Independence-Gilmanton snapped a 12-game losing streak with a 22-0 shutout of Eleva-Strum.
