No injuries in Cashton school bus accident

CASHTON, Wis. — No one is injured after a car collides with a school bus near Cashton Wednesday afternoon.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department says the accident happened just after 3:30 p.m. on Highway 33 near County Road U.

Sheriff Pete Quirin tells News 8 a car driven by Andrew Mlsna crossed the center line and hit the front driver’s side fender of the school bus.

Neither Mlsna, nor the bus driver and students on the bus were injured. Quirin says it’s not clear why Mlsna crossed the center line, but Quirin says alcohol was not a factor in the accident.

Cashton School District Adminstrator Brad Saron tells News 8 students were picked up by another school bus and taken home.
