No Limits: Ability Awareness Week – Forming the ‘Committee for Citizens with Disabilities’
A look back at our incredible community of all abilities
LA CROSSE (WKBT) – On July 26, 1990 The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) became law. It’s considered a landmark civil rights regulation, protecting individuals with disabilities from discrimination and ensuring they have the same rights as everyone else.
La Crosse Mayor Tim Kabat proclaimed July 20-26 as ‘No Limits Ability Awareness Week’ in the city, and the Disability Action Network (DAN) is hosting its second annual La Crosse area celebration for those with all abilities.
