No one injured in Onalaska house fire
House was under construction
ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) — No one was injured in an early Tuesday morning house fire on the 300 block of Troy Street in Onalaska.
When Onalaska firefighters arrived on scene at about 5 a.m., flames were coming out of the roof.
Onalaska Fire Chief Don Dominick told News 8 the drywall wasn’t up so the fire spread quickly. The fire was so hot it melted the siding on the garage that was in the back. Siding on a house to the west was also damaged.
Chief Dominick said crews put out the fire within about 40 minutes.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
