Non-spooky trick-or-treat event comes to Riverside Park
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT)- Riverside Park hosted a non-spooky Halloween event this afternoon.
The Enchanted Forest is a family-friendly, non-scary, trick-or-treat event.
Kids, parents, and volunteers are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes and meet friendly characters as they collect candy and other goodies along the way.
Treat stations around the loop also had games and activities for the kids to participate in.
“This is the first year the event has been down here at riverside park. It’s really exciting just to see kids having fun. Families out here enjoying the day together. Kids in costume, adults in costume, a lot of smiling faces,” said event organizer and scout executive, Joe Carlson.
The treat stations are run by sponsor businesses, student groups from the area universities, and other civic/nonprofit groups.
