Northside Elementary holds open house Thursday night

New layout, features shown to attenders

Area residents got an inside look at La Crosse School district’s newest addition.

The district held an open house Thursday night for the new Northside Elementary School. People saw the ins and outs of the new building’s layout and along with some of the new features.

Even though students spend a majority of time using the school it’s designed to be a public asset.

“It’s just a good expansive space, wonderful place for community work, community involvement, community meetings to take place whether it’s here in the cafeteria, the gymnasium, LMC. It really was designed not just for our students but also for our community to use,” said La Crosse School District Superintendent Randy Nelson.

The building houses more than 500 students.
